treehouse villa or beach club?

I am already trying to plan our Nov 2011 trip and am trying to decide between trying for a treehouse or beachclub - there are 6 of us(maybe more) so we need a 2 br anyway. This trip we just went on - we only were able to go swimming twice out of 10 days! So my question is which would you try to book for a first week of November trip?

I amy be no help - but we faced the same choice for our March trip. I booked the THV early and then at the 7 mo mark, I called, kept the first 4 days at THV and then switched the last 3 to BCV. We actually like split stays and wanted to try them both out. We're hoping it will be warm enough to swim and take advantage of SAB. November is as little iffy, although my kids would swim no matter what.

I would book the beach club for transportation reasons.....as well as its proximity to Epcot and DHS. Unless you are going to have a car......

We find that if you are there to enjoy your family then the Treehouses are the best. If you are there to be in the middle of the action then BCV are probably better.

Different styles for different people - both fun but different.

Actually I would prefer you pick an Epcot resort and leave the treehouses to us

We are going to have a car - we are driving down from NJ. I am leaning toward the BCV due to walking to HS & epcot but am just wondering if it is worth it becasue of possibly not being able to use SAB. With the treehouse villas the girls can have their own room with the bunkbeds and there are 2 other bedrooms. There is still a pool if we can swim.

We love BCV pool with a lazy river. It's a short walk to Epcot. I would go with BCV anytime.

If you are open to a split that is my vote.

I love splitting. I would do the exact same (goal anyway). Split THV and 2 bedroom BC.

Currently if going for more than 6 nights we always split. AK/BC or SSR/BWV I prefer it, it seems like you start over, you have a second vacation, a new pool. SSR, AK are more relaxing. BC/BWV more park time and running around time.

If splitting isn't an option; I would pick BC if kids were under 8. If over that then all over THV. Due to the SAB is really ideal for kiddies. The whole little pool they can walk in, play in sand ect. (They also can sleep on a floor happlily, or share 4 in a bed and don't care.) The opposit for older kids they would probably pick there own beds, with any random pool, over a particular pool.

Side note, Nov can be a miss on weather if you are towards the end, it is possible it may be too cold to swim every day, so this puts like a bonus point on THV.

We would be gong Oct 28 - about Nov 6. So I am really thinking of a split. The only thing I dread about splits is having everything all set up then having to pack it back up just to set it up again. But we will chat some more here and figure out what we want to do.
My kids are - well will be 3, 6, 7 by the time we go next year. My 24 yr old friend from work is coming with us - SHe always volunteers to be our "babysitter" so DH & I can go do some rides, have a nigth out. The girls love her so it works well for us. SHe came with me when it was just the girls last May and was very helpful in the parks. My cousin who is overseas right now but is suppose to be home for good in the spring might want to come too with his girlfriend. So we may have 6 - 8 people.

If you were thinking about swiming I would think BCV would be better. The Treehouses will be hard to book unless you can book 11 months out.

I wouldn't do a split stay because you are homeless for most of the day on checkout/checkin day. And you never checkin at BCV early.

I believe SAB is a resort pool for BCV and you should not get turned away unless at capacity. So if you like to swim - BCV!

I faced the same dilemma for Xmas this year. We opted for THV as they just seem to be so different from anything else that DVC offers. But to be fair I think you'll enjoy either one you choose.

I would book the treehouse for the November trip. I like BCV best when I'm most likely to swim. We were in BCV 2 years ago, around this time of the year and it was definitely not swimming weather.
