planning a family gathering and hopin to get a treehouse villa in may, will have to wait and maike reservation 7 months out, what are my chances that they will have a villa still available? starting mother's day weekend for 1 full week.

I know for May of this year, I booked on the morning of the 11 month mark and got the last one available with points for only 4 nights, could not get a full week. Someone else on here went on the waitlist at 7 months for May and it never came through.

All you can do is hope for pixie dust. Maybe you could do a split stay; I think your chances of getting a full week at the 7 month mark might be ambitious.

I would think in May (except for Memorial weekend) you would have a good chance. However, I would still I'd book at my home resort at the 11 month mark and hope for the switch at 7 months.

Part of the problem with the THVs is that only half of the 60 villas have been declared into the DVC inventory. The rest still belong to DVD and are cash rental villas. And since they are a popular choice they fill up quickly.
