Treehouse Villa in January

How hard is it to get a Treehouse villa at SSR in January, not my home resort?? I'm just not sure how hard they are to book in general...I'm use to waitlists, but it is a fairly small resort.

Depends on when in January and when you intend to reserve. At 7 months out: the first 3 to 4 days are still part of the Christmas vacation group and they may be difficult; likewise possibly some difficulty the Thurs through Sun of marathon weekend; otherwise no problem. If you mean trying to reserve now for Jan at 6 months out; there might be difficulty at other times in Jan but probably still good chance.

Other than certain times of the month (New Years, MLK, etc...) January is a good month for availability. Looking at THV availability I can see that the increase in points over a 2 BR in SSR has made a difference and the THV's are more available than previously. I'm thinking that you're going to be successful. We stayed there last year and loved it. Request a unit toward the south end and use the Grandstand buses. That worked awesome as we always got a seat.

It really all depends on your dates though and if you're flexible. Make sure you are online at the 7 month mark when reservations open up.

I agree big change in availability since the point increase.

thanks, I may need to take a look at the timing of the points change. Still seems like a bargain compared to a GV
