We take advantage of extra magic hour and get up early to visit Epcot. We get fastpasses for Soarin first and then go on Mission Space. It makes me feel sick but the feeling is gone soon after so not so bad.

Next is Test Track. I love this ride especially the bit where you feel the lovely Florida wind in your face.

Me and Kirsty tell Mark that Club Cool is a great place to get free drinks and cool down. We direct him towards the Beverly. He tastes it and ........ likes it and has some more!

We are early for our Soarin slot so do the Land first. Soarin is as good as ever apart from having all the feet hanging down.

We are ready to leave but want to see if we can find our Leave a Legacy tiles which we got on our 2004 trip. It is hot and we spend ages looking. We break to get a photo with Stitch

Eventually I spot them, one is for my 40th birthday and the other welcoming friends on the next trip.

We go back to the treehouse to chill. Kirsty has been waiting three years to have a chicken ceasar sandwich from Artists Palate the Saratoga Springs food court. Me and Kirsty get the boat to Saratoga Springs. There is one straight away and we are there and back in no time. Unfortunately for Kirsty the sandwich she remembers is not there and settles for a turkey and bree sandwich. I buy a mickey charm for my Pandora bracelet in the shop. We have lunch back in the treehouse and watch the World Cup. Mark has Spain in the pub sweepstake and is very pleased to win £170.

Tonight we are venturing off Disney to either Crossroads or one of the restaurants further up the street. We take the boat to Downtown Disney and walk to Crossroads. We decide on Chillis and walk on past the Orlando Ale House and the Bargain shops.

Chillis do a two for one offer on cocktails

I had the Southwatern Quesadillas and were lovely.

We walked back and just as we got to down town disney it began to pour down and managed to shelter in the shops. It eased off and we took the boat back to the treehouse and we some more drinks before going to bed.

Another fab day !
Congratulations of getting over the sicky feeling so quickly - that is my most hated ride in Epcot :rotfl2:

Love the pics with stitch and how wonderful to have a legacy left in wdw - amazing :-)

Another lovely day Sue. You are going to be sick of me and my questions!! We once walked to The Orlando Ale House but it was yonks ago, and I don't remember too well. Our friends are big Chillis fans and we would also like to try Olive Garden, how would the walk be with a pushchair do you think??

Jules ask away. Because me and Mark are big walking/drinking fans we were a bit worred about the transport issues staying in the Treehouse as Congress Park was so easy to walk to Downtown Disney and the Crossroads area, but in the end not a problem at all as the boats came so quickly.

You are probably better off with a pushchair than a little one walking. I would hope when it is not as hot a July the walk would be very pleasant. Take the boat to DTD and go to the market place bus stop and cross the road to the hotel plazza bit which leads to crossroads. don't cross over to crossroads and turn left. walk past the hotel with the pineaple and IHOP and past the Ale House and you get to the bargain shops. Chillis is here and also Macaroni grill, and Joes crabshack. There is a Dennys on the other side and a Black Angus and possibly an Olive Garden (but can't be sure), which we too would like to try next year. Of course there is all the Crossroads restaurants which has a Chevys.

It is a walk and you can always call a taxi home. We also walked to Downtown Disney and if you like the turf club can walk there easily.

Hope you have the best time

Thanks Sue, thats brilliant info, I think a good plan would be a taxi back. We love, love, love The Turf Club, its a real hidden gem isn't it xx

Thanks everyone and yes Jules we love the Turf Club, best thing about it is that you can sit outside and have your food (and cocktails of course). There is a path from the treehouses to the Turf Club which is easy to walk and of course you can always take the boat. You will have such a good time. xx

Is the Chili's actually AT Crossroads Susan or do you turn left or right when you leave Disney? Two for one cocktails sound great.

Brill day at Epcot - love your Leave a Legacy tiles, we always wish we had done this on our first trip.

yes when you finish waking the hotel plaza bit you are opposite Crossroads. You do not cross over but turn left and keep going. Cross over the road where the Ale House is and keep going and after the bargain shops you will get to it.

Very good value compared to the Disney restaurants
