Tree of Life show

Is there a viewing area for this show or is it more like Illuminations and you can see the show from anywhere you can see the tree throughout the park?

I think it is the second. You can see it from wherever you can see the tree. Kind of like the castle light show at MK. But maybe there are some viewing angles that are better than others.

The projection will only be visible from the front of the Tree of life, not the back. It doesn't have a schedule as they are random awakenings all through out the night

hang on.. it's not a show, it's only on the front and they are making it random so they don't have people lingering around and making hub crowds.. The chances of being on that side of the tree to randomly see it is slim.. wow, disney really not thinking things through....

they are trying to make it like a surprise when you are walking by, of course if you really want to see an awakening you can just wait. I think that there might be one every 15 to 20 minutes, but that's just me assuming things
I'm sure that there will be one at the end of the night, sort of like the kiss goodbye at MK

Yeah, I think it's brilliant. I love the idea of something spontaneous, always different vs. something that will have a crowd gather. You may never see the same exact lighting more than 1 time.

From what I've seen in the preview night vidoes, it's constantly moving in some way. Rather small animal movements and color changes, accented by larger "show pieces" every 15 or 20 minutes.

I've been avoiding the videos since I want it to be a surprise I think it'll be a cool addition

Not the Soarin' movie
Not JB or any other AK event
Not the new stage show at MK
Not the new Frozen ride
Not the new Star Wars fireworks
I want the first time I see them live to be the first time I see them.

We leave in the morning for WDW. Since we are going to be down there we are gonna go on Friday night just too see the tree lighting and take in the atmosphere...If it is too crazy we are headed to Disney Studios since it is EMH and open till midnight.

We will stay and see the Tree of life light up no matter what! Can't wait! I would not mind riding EE at night either! Maybe just do single rider!

So excited! Tomorrow can't come soon enough!!!! We arrive at 10:50 and gonna grab ME and check in at AKV and then headed to AK for lunch at Yak and Yeti! The forecast looks awesome this week! That never happens!!

By the way...I have not watched any spoiler videos either!

I've been trying to do the same though have seen a bit of what they have shared of the Frozen ride/concept art

I have been watching the Shanghai Videos (other than Soarin') since I figure the chances of me seeing the new Pirates or the Tron coaster in real life are pretty darn slim

The idea of it is billiant but it's on the front of the tree.. I am in front of the tree maybe 50 seconds going in or leaving.. maybe 5 minutes if I get a photopass photo...

It should be all around or at least on the back side that you can see from 3/4s of the park and not just the entrance...
