We are looking at staying at the THV for spring break. We have only stayed AKV and BLT before and we have three small children. What can you tell me about them. We drive down, so transportation won't be an issue. Just wondering what your experience has been.

THV are wonderful. Even with a full house of 9 (5 adults and 4 teen/tween girls) we had a lot of fun. What ages are the children? Our DD's were 11 & 16 and loved having the bunk beds. We had the master bed, our friends had the 2nd bed, while her mom and daughters slept in the living room on the fold outs. Having the boat dock close by was nice to get to DTD. It was a bit of a walk if we did not want to take the bus to SSR and then another to one of the parks.

We had 5 adults, and 3 children, and the THVs were a hit! We did use the living room bedding, and the 3 kids took turns using the bunkbeds. DGC were 6, 7 and 8. We used the very convenient grill that's just down the steps, and we used Disney transportation for the most part.

We have 5 kids. (9,8,5,3,1)

We are considering this for next year. My in laws need a scooter though and I am wondering how that would work. The bus situation scares me a little.Anyone ever done this?

We stayed in THV in November -- 6 adults and one baby. Abby ended up in the pack n play in the living room, but that worked out fine. My daughter and son-in-law couldn't fit it in the second bedroom. We used the grill and also cooked some other meals. We all agreed that the THV were wonderful for us. We requested South end and canal view and were placed in 7030, very close to the path to Grandstand, not far from the boat dock, and just a short walk to the quiet pool and hot tub.

As for scooters, I know there are 4 HA THV with ramps, and it's possible to charge them at ground level. Don't know how they would work with the buses. We used the rental minivan, and also buses to get around WDW.

We just checked in a few hours ago - will let you know- so far so good! We have 3 DD's with us 2 of them are leaving on Monday back to college and my Aunt and Uncle will be coming on Saturday. We do have a car rental but we are really close to the buses which is good if DD's want to go off on their own.

We stayed there 3 years ago with 5 kids also (10,10,7,4,6mo). The kids LOVED it...I have to say we did too. We were in 7028 (or maybe 27...just posted the # to someoneelse and already forgot!) It was very close to a bus stop and right on the canal. Kids liked to see the boats go by. We never waited long for a shuttle at THV. Sometimes we had quite a wait at SSR for park bussed though. It was really beautiful. Kids wish we could go back and we would if it weren't for the fact that I try to stay where my points go the longest! The oldest took the bunks, middle got the second bed to herself, my 5 yr old chose to sleep on floor in bunk room and baby was in a portacrib in master room. I can't remember if we always brought the stroller up or if we left it down but it is covered so you can leave a stroller under if you want. People before us actually forgot theirs.

We stayed in one with 3 adults and 3 teens (2 age 15 and 1 age 18). Grandma had a room to herself and the teen girls shared a room. 18 year old slept on the sofa coach. DH and I had the master bedroom. We all LOVED THV :thumbsup2 Everyone had their own space to relax in which was really nice. The kids really thought it was a great experience and would love to stay there again. We rented a car so not sure how the buses run.
