Tree Falling in NOS

My daughter was actually there yesterday right next to the tree when it fell. She sent me a picture from her cell phone. It really freaked her out. She said they were helping people out from underneath although she didn't think anyone was seriously injured. So weird!

Yeah, I heard a mention of this as I was listening to the radio last night in bed. I saw nothing on the internet about it today, but I was wondering about it. Weird!

oh my gosh...how scary, I'm so glad no one got hurt...

I hope they are going around checking all the trees...they can sure do some damage...

I was there in May 2001 when the big tree fell over on the edge of ROA onto a popcorn cart. That was really scary. I was actually with my older DBro, while his DW and kids were with our parents. We ran to SM to ride real quick and were on our way back to FrL when we heard screaming and saw throngs of people running towards to hub. In less than 10 minutes, they had people roped off at the beginning of AdL and FrL and you could see flashing lights (from the ambulance and there were at least 5 helicopters circling above. When we left the park late that night there were still a dozen news vans parked outside!

It was crazy!!! The next day at the park we went to go find where it fell, and they had already replaced the gaping hole where the tree was with new bushes and shrubs and it was like it never happened!

I'm here now on my honeymoon. We saw the branch fall......I have pics but none uploaded yet. No serious injuries....scrapes and bruises and minor cuts. Everyone was evacuated from the immediate area within 2 minutes and then guards blocked off the walkway where the tree was. Within 2 hours [while the park was still open] they were sawing down the fallen branch. The next day the entire tree was gone and had been replaced with baby rose bushes. If you didn't know the tree was there the day before you couldn't have known the difference. It was rather wierd. And yes all of the parks trees were examined immediately.

Wow, it is kinda creepy how disney replaces things so quick that you would never know, a little too perfect LOL! We know a lady who was at disneyland, and fell, nothing serious, just triped off a curb, wasn't hurt, but she says that she was suddenly surrounded by cast members that just basically came out of nowhere! It was like they were hidding or something! Kinda odd lol!

wow intresting ty for the info. acdent do happen its good to know disney is fast and makes sure ppl r ok
