Are there any character sightings from TP? How about stuff like souvenirs, toys, pins, etc?

I know it bombed, but my son liked it and I thought it was fine. Much better than Sinbad.

We're there in Oct, the week that M:S "officially" opens. I read somewhere TP characters may be found there, but I want to avoid EPCOT on the official opening day. I would expect it to be a madhouse.

I believe Mission Space is opening Aug. 15 instead of the October date that was once given. You should be ok as far as opening day crowds. Don't know about the characters. I'll bump this up for someone who does. Thanks for posting.

Hi there. I emailed Disney about the same thing. My DD LOVES Jim and was hoping to get a picture, but Disney has told me that TP characters are not around anymore. The have done a lot of cutbacks. It never hurts to ask when you get there, though. As for souvenirs, I dont' know. More than likely they would have something somewhere in parks. The last time Jim was seen was right after the movie came out last year and he was in Tommorowland in Magic Kingdom. Like I said, it never hurts to ask when you arrive.

IIRC, Jim and that robot played by Martin Short (Benny?) were going to show at the M:S opening. I think I read that on a rumors board, but I'm not sure. My brain is nearly exploding with everything I have read in books and especially on the DIS.

I wasn't crazy about TP but I loved Morph. I got a Morph plush at Disney Store and actually bought the whole boxed pin set from Disney Catalog online just to get the little Morph pin. There was still some TP stuff in our Disney Store last night.
