Treasure menus

I had the opportunity to try these menus out. The consensus of our party was the 2 Coco menus and the main (1st) 1923 were excellent! Getting chips and salsa instead of bread at Coco was a nice change. The 2nd 1923 menu was lacking for our tastes. If you like lobster though, that's your night. :thumbsup2
I thought the 2 coco menus looked good also, thanks for sharing this.

It’s been awhile since I have been on a 7 nighter, so I am confused about the menus. Coco has 2 different menus, but on one of the rotations that mdr has formal and semi formal night 2 and night 6, will it be both coco menus or something else. Is there a formal night menu?? I’ve looked at all the menus on DCL cruise line blog and can’t figure it out. I’m probably trying to over think this too much.

There is no longer a formal night menu. Each restaurant has its own menus and you get one the first time in the restaurant and one the second time in the restaurant.

So even if you were in Coco on formal night you’d get the Coco menu.

Got it, that makes sense to me now. Thanks!!

I am a weirdly picky eater and can get around all the menus well enough. Some deletions here and there because of aversion to cucumber but I'd be happy with those menus.

Sometimes DCL food is good quality and menu,,, sometimes it's Golden Corral.
Order several entrees'.

Just got off the Treasure. In our opinion, we found the food in all of the restaurants to be very good. The only meal that we considered Excellent was the peppered filet in 1923. It was absolutely delicious! Also excellent was the Spinach & Tomato Pide from room service.

I had that room service Pide on the Wish and was absolutely amazed by how good it was!

Anyone know or have any theories as to why the menus don’t change for years? I get why there may be overlap with ships for ordering and cooking purposes, but is seems like several years would be good for a change.

Probably a combination of:

Ease of training the rotating crew members, lack of needing to train returning crew members
High enough percentage of first time/only time cruisers
Disney people's desire for consistency in experience

Disney is not the only one that uses the same menus over and over again. Though it does seem like other lines have a set list of 14 to 20 or so daily menus that they rotate into and out of the various ships.

I'd put it down to tried and true items. Plus the practical aspects of being able to produce thousands of meals in a limited amount of time on board.

Made me laugh... I have said that exact same thing to my wife several times on the Fantasy as we ate our way through the menu over the years. Overall, we loved the food and menu choices, but there were a few items that just did not work or were hit and miss. Steaks were a common problem in my opinion. I learned never to order the NY strip steak - just like Golden Corral (to me). The Prime Rib was a big risk too but on occasion could be good.
