My girlfriend just got TD magic and she used it in her Football room. I was over her shoulder watching. She got the map and we didn't know what to do. She walked around a bit and then the map went away... Nothing seemed to happen except the magic went away. She didn't get a message saying she won/found anything... We checked her inventory and there didn't seem to be anything added... So it was a dud?

Treasure Detection Magic - Hyped on VMK for over a year.
Finally Released as random prize in eBay/Disney promotion.
If you get one it's untradable, unkeepable, single-use "trash" magic.
And the Trash Magic expires in 1 Day so it's not even like Coral Magic that you can wear around to show off for a while - you got to use it asap.
You use it and what do you get? 25 credits? Wanted Poster? Nothing?

Treasure Detection Magic is a big hot air dud, if you ask me.

Treasure Detection Magic == Lame.

Yes. Treasure Detector Magic is 1 time use. My guess is that they are seeing how it turns out with the VMK Public. Then will be releasing it at a later date. This is just my theory that they are having a public testing session

I don't think so, I don't think vmk will give away a magic pin that will give you prize every time you use it. I just wish it was a real "treasure" and not some year and a half old park prize.

BTW I used my treasure magic today. So to answer some questions:

1. You can use it the next day
2. Used it at the Music Game and got.....300 credits

Disappointing to say the least.

I got a big fat nothing with mine....

Much rather have a anohter shirt.... (i need to get 4 more shirts, so if your trading let me know... The shirt is the EXACT shirt that Slinkyman, Bug, Smalld wore on their first day at MK.... celebrating how well he is doing with his treatments!!)

Oh well It does look cool, and honestly any new magic is better than no magic at all....

If they sold it for under 10,000 I would buy it...

Well, I finally got my code on my second account last night after VMK closed.
And guess what it was?

TD magic! lol

Mine says that it expires in 30 days. Don't know if they changed it for all those pins or not though.

I haven't used mine yet. Haven't decided where yet. I'll let you all know when and where I do and what I get.

I do agree that you should at least get something that you can keep out of it and not a big fat nothing.

I just got a treasure detector magic and I just want to get clarification from those who used it and actually got something. So when you walk around will your character stop on it's own when you find gold or do you just have to look for gold at the feet as you are walking and stop there?

I haven't gotten one of these, but I don't understand how it would work if they release a NOT one time use pin. Then people could just keep trying over and over for the good prizes...how would that work? Maybe either they'd make it so that you got nothing from it even more often, or it had a recharge time of 24 hours?

I just kept walking around and my character stopped on a spot and coins fell out.

The magic does it all, you don't do anything at all.

I can't see them make a multi-use treasure magic.
