oooooh I like this very much! Thanks for posting

Thanks for the post :thumbsup2

Note in the Fine Print:
Tax and gratuity are not included.
Mandara Spa adds a 20% tip. This is a common practice at hotel spas, but my wife refuses to try the spa in protest

Would someone be willing to explain how travelzoo works? I'm not familiar with it. It seems like a great deal.
Thank you!

Yay! :cool1:

Thanks a lot!
Now I'll find time to get to the spa on my trip in February! What a great deal!

Just click on the link for the offer and the site will walk you through the process. It's super easy! I haven't had an account with them before either and it just took a minute or two to complete the entire process.

You just pay by credit card and they will email you a link to print out your voucher. Take the voucher to the spa to pay for the services. (As indicated you still pay tax and tip at the spa.)

Haha, came to share this and was very beaten to the punch! Wish I had some extra $$ sitting around now! ;)

Thanks for sharing - my mom ordered yesterday and scheduled her visit for Black Friday - 2pm - what a nice mid day break she'll have. I've been out of work *furloughed* since early August - I go back Monday!! So if they're still around for a few days I may be able to purchase 1 myself.

Be sure to call right away to schedule an appointment. If TravelZoo coupons are like the other deal places (Groupon, Living Social, etc) then they sell hundreds and hundreds of these, and of course most of us have a short window that we'll be at Disney and you'll want to be positive you can get an appointment while you're there! I've done a few of these locally and found it can be weeks before there is an open appointment....fine because I live here and will be around....not so great if you'll only be in Anaheim for a specific week.

Nonsuch....tell your wife I'm with her! I tend to be a good tipper when I feel that the service was worthy....being forced to pay a tip regardless of quality of service irks me.

:scared1:And remember everyone the Tax and Tip will be based on the ORIGINAL price, not the discounted price (at least that's how the other deal places work). So your tip on $230 will be $46!! Not sure what the tax rate in Anaheim is....but you're probably looking at $15-20 in tax as well. Just so people are prepared!

+ tax, but I think it's worth it.

For $139 total you can add the facial (plus tax/tip)

I wonder if they take Disney gift cards as payment for the gratuity? I will call tomorrow and ask :)

They do not accept Disney Gift cards, however if you are staying onsite the tip can be charged to the room. Disney Gift cards can then be applied to the hotel bill :thumbsup2

I booked an appointment for my wife next February. They have been getting many calls, so book early.

If the service is bad, the automatic tip makes you feel ripped off TWICE :headache:
The spa experience at the Grand needs to be extra special, since it takes away from time in the parks -- which is why my wife has not tried the spa.

I checked when making the appointment:
The 20% gratuity based on the $99 coupon price must be paid, there is no tax.
If you are happy with the services, it would be appropriate to increase the tip :thumbsup2

Like Connie B noted the tip should be based on the full price, not a discounted price. That is just basic tipping etiquette.

Oh thank you thank you thank you. We're going for Christmas and I think we'll give these as gifts to my parents. They won't mind the time out at all! Maybe one for me too :santa:

I just bought two. One for me and one for DD24.
Am hoping to go over Thanksgiving on the day our passes are blocked out. ;)
