I've been reading about Priceline on these boards and find it to be a good deal as long you read the rules and agree to them AND make educated bids.

I'm interested in giving them a try for July. I'll be taking my 4-H kids to compete in the District Horse Show in Tupelo, MS. This is a small market, so I was surprised to find that they are listed with PL (1 & 2 star hotels). Right now I have a 3BR/3-1/2BA suite (with kitchen and W/D) reserved at one of the hotels for $159 a night (2 nights). I'm considering trying PL for a 2 star for 4 rooms, since I can always cancel my other reservation. We have to raise all of our travel money, so I'd love to save a lot of money that we could use for meals instead!

I'm just looking for some advice! I know this isn't Orlando related, but it definitely is budget related. Thanks for any suggestions! :) :)

May I suggest that you post to the Priceline bidding board that I host since this isn't related to Disney? In order to help you with a bidding strategy, I'll need the information requested in the Hotel FAQ category for your exact travel dates. If you put up a post on the Other Cities - Central 1/3 of U.S. category, I'll be happy to offer a bidding strategy for you.

I'll be away until at least mid-afternoon, but I'll be checking in later today and can help you then.
