travelodge suites east orange

Has anyone ever heard of this hotel? It's right outside Disney and was only 47.00 per night. Trying to save money this trip.

Hi....familiar only with the location, which is great to get to Disney...go west and turn right on Serolago Blvd and then left on Osceola Parkway and you are right in Disney...this a a good way to go if there is still lots of construction on 192.

I did a Google on "travelodge suites orlando" and trip advisor had two recent reviews...one says to make sure the pool is open, as it was closed in April...

Well...I think this is the same motel we stayed at in '97. So named for the large somewhat tacky orange domed gift shop in front of the motel on 192 (okay, it's kind of an icon... ). Of course, our stay was many years ago, and if their pictures are accurate, they have upgraded by leaps and bounds since we were there. It was pretty dumpy at the time and I doubt we'll return regardless of any improvements. And IMHO the location isn't really right outside Disney--it's east on 192 from the main gate. But, if you have a vehicle and if the photos I saw online are current and accurately portray the motel now, it might be okay, especially for $47. You may also want to consider Priceline or Skyauction (the latter especially if you're going for a week or so during off season). Hopefully someone will post with a more current experience.
