Anyone done these before? We are trying to book a hotel for two nights Memorial weekend and wouldn't mind doing the Travelocity thing... the only thing is we must have a fridge due to DD lactose intolerence... is there anyway to know there is a fridge when doing this? TIA for any help.

Travelocity top secret hotels just shows basic amenities available such as swimming, no smoking, internet access. If you HAVE to have a fridge, I don't believe this is the way to book your hotel stay.

I'm thinking if you DO book this way and a refrigerator is not included in the room you can always call and request one, probable for an additional fee. We have a soft sided cooler we sometimes pack for use in hotels to keep our drinks cold. Perhaps something like that could be a back-up for you.

Is it possible for her to go without whatever you'd put in the fridge for those 2 days? I'm not sure if it's medication for her that needs refrigerated, or if she just likes soy milk, etc.

We've done the Travelocity secret hotels before. You can't tell if there's a fridge. Can you bring a cooler? We got a great room outside of Boston (and that did have a fridge, it was an Extended Stay Deluxe) for $50, and a lovely room in Portland, ME for $40, much cheaper than any other options. With both times, I was able to narrow down the hotel options based on the star level and traveler "smileys" and I was very pleased with the outcome.

She can not digest regular milk and has to have lactose free as she is 1 1/2. I dunno if I could find a sub.

Honestly I am not sure.. we won't be in the room a ton b/c we would be visiting family.

Thank you for all your help.

I was more wondering if she could do without milk of any kind for a couple days if it was necessary. I know it's not optimal, but it might be worth it to take the trip.
