Travelocity & Orbitz deals

OK - this may be an obvious question, but I am curious to know how to receive Travelocity and/or Orbitz deals. (For example I saw in the resorts thread a 20% off deal for Disney resorts on Orbitz that ended 11/30.) Is it simply subscribing to their email? Or, do you have to check the website on a regular basis? I only ask because the last thing I need is more email! Or even another email address to manage!

Ok, Orbitz offers 15% off almost all the time, $150 cap. But sometimes they offer 15% off, no cap. The 20% off with no cap is very rarely offered. I got in on it last month though. Its on their site. You can subscribe to their email, but it usually on their site. Travelocity, well I would not book with them. They will charge you a $25 fee for a cancellation, stating that Disney is charging it and they do not.

I know I saw one with a $500 cap on black Friday in my email. Just wait and watch and be ready to pounce.

Sometimes I get emails, sometimes I don't. I just check their site frequently. We book hotels through them usually and earn orbitz bucks. So on top of the 20% off or whatever deal they have, I get an extra $ with my orbitz bucks. I find their rates are almost always cheaper than Disney and they have no cancellation fee. The only thing I don't like is that if our plans change and we need to go a day late or come home a day early, you can't just cancel one night, you have to cancel your whole reservation.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank those specifically for sharing the codes instead of vaguely telling us you got a discount and we have to ask for the code.
