We sail 11/30. My daughter is officially listed in OUR room (her parents) but my son is officially listed in my parents' room.

When filling out docs, will my mom and dad say "YES, we are travelling with minor children" and "NO, we are not their legal guardian"????

We (the parents) will be right there at the port to clear up anything.

How is that handled? They aren't taking them out of the country without our knowledge, so I'm not sure how we should mark the forms.

My advice is pretty simple - don't do anything with that page of the docs until you get to the port, and then ask the CM how to handle it. Since you'll be standing right there, you could sign anything that needs to be signed.

Now, I reserve the right to take this back if your signature would need to be notarized. In that case, call DCL directly and ask.

mcnuss,
Thanks for the info. To avoid surprises, I went ahead and called the DCL documentation people (that form does need a notary if in fact you are travelling with children who you are not the guardian of)

They said that my dad and mom should answer "yes" they are travelling with minors and "no" they are not the guardians, but that since we will actually BE at the port we can verify that we are aware of the situation.

Just didn't want any surprises at the port!

Thanks again!
