Travelling (sort of) solo

Spoiled rotten in Palo? How so? I have Palo booked solo and a small part of me is tempted not to go because I felt it might be awkward.

Another solo traveler on DCL. I was on the Magic this summer and went to Palo Brunch and Dinner. I was very happy with the service, they were all attentive and the chef escorted me out when I finished dinner. It was really nice.

I've sailed semi solo (aka with a tween then teen who is never around!). It is awesome. I can do what I want, when I want, don't have to clean, do laundry (usually ;) ), decide what's for dinner. I spend lots of time in the adult areas, Rainforest room and read read read. It is quite relaxing to be accountable to oneself only for entertainment.

I tend to do the same thing whether I'm traveling solo or with others. I like to travel with people who are flexible. If I'm going on an excursion, and you want to come to that's great. If you don't want to go, that's OK too I'm still going. The nice thing about being a Disney cruise, is that most people are really friendly. So if you feel like striking up a conversation with someone, you can. But it's also OK to not make conversation.

I've done 11 solo cruises (8 with Disney) and I've become accustomed do doing everything I want without having to check with someone else. Sailing solo is convenient especially when looking for one seat anywhere (pool, dinner, movies, shows). I've also enjoyed the solitude of just sitting in my cabin and reading or watching a movie without the concern is someone interrupting me. If you are social you'll be sure to make friends with crew and passengers alike.
