Hi All

This is my first post and first of all I'd like to thank everyone for all the wonderful information on this site. I am planning my first solo trip to WDW in September and I need some advice. I am travelling from the UK and the only companies that seem to give quotes for single travels to florida are Virgin Holidays and Expedia. So my questions are

1. Are there any more single travels from the UK out there who can tell me who they book with.

2. Has anyone booked with Expedia from the UK are they reliable.

3. Am I crazy to be going all the way to Florida alone.

Thanks in advance.:thumbsup2

I personally travel alot. I have even travelled to Scotland recently. I find you have to take it upon yourself to get out. Try the Delta Flight that leaves Paris at 9:45am or round abouts there. It will take you to atlanta then take supposivly the 1595 flight via delta to Orlando, from there you can hop the bus. Its cheaper to book on Delta as oppose to using expedia because delta won't charge you extra fairs. If your not in a hurry take the train to London. Flights to and from paris are fairly cheap so book locally and save with britsh airways or KLM.

The way I would go about it.

Take your dates. IE July 12th to July 22nd.

Book a roundtrip flight to Paris on July 12th via KLM arriving in paris by 9:45am. and returning late afternoon/evening July 22nd. Pick up the flight in Paris via Delta flight 29, then you arrive in ATL since you havn't been there pick up flight delta 1595 to MCO leaving at 4:10pm local time. Arriving in Orlando 5:40pm pick up the bus go check in grab a bite to eat, settle in hit PI or a fireworks cruise. It takes about 45min to hour to get to your hotel from the airport. If you want to leave atlanta earlier book the 1007 flight that leaves at 1500 and arrives about 4:30. You can decide what you want to do. For the flight back home you have to schedule something that meets your needs. Pick up flight 1882 from Orlando to Atlanta but that flight leaves at aprox 2:30pm. So that might be to late, the flight from orlando to atlanta needs to you there intime to go from atlanta to paris, and make sure you arive in paris before your flight back to home. I know the first half of the schedules but the rest are on you. those are the flights I always take as I travel from Djibouti Africa. As for disney booking.

It is easy to book a trip to Disney. Just pick a hotel and get the Dining plan. If you have the extra cash hit up the platinum plan, being from UK you will get AWSOME exchange rates. OI OI OI OI OI OI Once you get the platinum plan they cordinator can start booking everything you want now so its available when you get there. They do itenerary planning and all, but thats only if you can afford it. As a single traveler I find this nice, and I have a busy work schedule. I have not gone to Disney w/o booking platinum planning. I also recommend staying at the Wilderness Lodge or Polynesian as I know the platinum plan cordinator there.

Ask more questions if your wondering. I hope I filled you in the best I could.

Thanks for your reply. I'd be a bit scared of going via Paris, one of my friends was going to Canada earlier in the year, she missed her connection in London and had to cancel her whole holiday. You have given me some good tips though, thanks again.

If you are scared of going VIA paris, I could map out general flights if you know your days that you will be able to go on holiday.

If it's your 1st time on your own I suggest using a Tour Operator as you have the back up of a rep if anything goes wrong.

You will get hit with single supplements, but at least you can relax knowing everything should run smoothly and the flight would be direct from the UK.

Virgin Holidays are good. Also try Thomas Cook Signature, they use can Virgin Flights.

I suggest you go to your local Independant Travel Agent (the others like Going Places etc will try and sell you holidays with their parent company).
An independant should check lots of Operators to get you the best deal.
