Hello there,

When coming from Toronto and using Magical Express, do we have to pick up our luggage in Orlando and bring it to the bus. The transportation booklet from Disney seems to indicate this for international flights, but in this case we go through Customs in Toronto. So if our luggage tags are attached will they be sent straight to our resort or do we have to claim in Orlando?

Thanks for the info.

No you do not have to pick up your bags before going to the bus. However, if you want to you can. Remember that you could be at the resort for several hours before they deliver your bags. So either be prepared to not have your bags until much later or bring them to the bus yourself.

man I didn't know magical express came all the wat to Toronto. How did you swing that? :rotfl2:

OK so to get the magical express from Toronto to WDW am I required to arrive at Pearson by plane or is the bus # 7 bus from Mississauga Chance'it ok?

When flying on Air Canada or WestJet from YYZ - MCO you will clear United States Customs in Toronto and that means when you land in Orlando you can go right to the Magical Express check-in counter. Just remember to attach the yellow tags onto your checked luggage so it can be sent to your Resort.

That is sooo cool! last time I flew out of TO on Air canada in 2006 we had to get bags and go thru customs in Orlando....that is great news! Shoild make things faster as we want to go to a park first day..and we always pack a days worth of clothes, shoes etc in carryon.......:goodvibes

I'm not sure why you would have gone through US customs at MCO. The last time I had to do that was about 1997.

maybe my brain is foggy from all this cold! Perhaps we didn't go thru customs in MCO but I know we had to get our bags and bring them on bus....

My coworker (a travel agent) flew down to MCO in October and said that because of some construction or something, you have to go through customs in MCO. She said that she left Pearson, did security there, flew to Orlando, picked up her luggage, went through customs, handed her luggage back to someone and then took the Magical Express.......

I think it is something different going on for some specific airlines.

We went in May with West Jet and didn't have to do this.

Maybe you just went right to the baggage claim area at Orlando International Airport after getting off the plane and decided to pick up your bags, then went to the Magical Express check-in desk.

I can say for sure that when flying Air Canada and WestJet you clear US Customs in Toronto, so maybe maybe you clear Customs in Orlando when flying Air Transat and CanJet.

As for any construction last month my family and I did not see any when flying out of Toronto, however I know in Orlando they are doing construction of the terminal where you land. Although it does not effect the flights from Air Canada and WestJet or any American based Airlines from landing there.

Ya, it is appearantly affecting Air Transat, Sunwing and Skyservice flights.

The whole process is different from Air Canada and West Jet.

The construction is in Orlando only, not Toronto.
