My mother-in-law will coming with us for a couple of days but staying in a different resort - we are staying in the WL and she is in the CB. How hard will it be for us to meet up at the WL using just Disney transportation? Should she rent a car? We are going Sept 29-Oct 6, if that makes a difference.

Personally, I would not want to spend any of my vacation traveling to meet anyone. If you cannot stay at the same resort maybe find a common meeting place like at the castle at MK, or at the CR 's Chef Mickey. So either of you aren't wasting time but meeting at place you were going to visit. I hope everything works out and hve a great time. :wizard:

That's right, travelling between resorts (at least mods and values) is a bit hard, if it were GF and Poly and such then it wouldn't be so bad or hard. To transfer, you may just have to do the DTD and then catch the transport from DTD to the resort....or get a cab....or rent a car.....good luck! :confused3

Travelling from resort to resort could easily take up to and over an hour. You have to go to a park and then get on the bus to the destination resort. Not a good way to travel unless you are taking the day off to "resort hop". It's possible though, if you don't want to rent a car, but just allow plenty of time.

Another vote for do not try to get from one resort to another. It wastes too much vaulable vacation time. As someone suggested....just meet at whatever theme park you have planned for that day or that part of the day.

You need to try and be at the same resort. Only seasoned disney people who know what they are getting into should attempt this. You waste alot of time meeting up. A car is a must.

Also we usually end up just meeting at the park, but sometimes that means that we can not eat breakfast together at another location.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I asked is that she is babysitting for us one night so would have to get back to her hotel from the WL pretty late. I showed her your replies and she is renting a car. Thanks again...

If you have to be at 2 different resorts AND you still want to meet up at one of those resorts versus a park as suggested by several others, AND you don't want to spend an hour or more in transport AND you don't want to rent a car, I suggest you consider a cab ride. I haven't done it, but I have talked to several people who have and they highly recommend it. Quick service, door-to-door. And if you only need to meet once or twice at a resort, then it would be way cheaper than renting a car.
