Travellers Cheques

If I prepay my stateroom account with Disney dollars and travellers cheques can I get a refund in cash of any overages?

Yes. On our 3day in May I prepaid with Disney Dollars. We had a small credit left when we debarked and it showed up as a credit on my American Express Card (the card I used when we checked in).

We used Travelers Cheques. We did not put a credit card down at all. Just the Travelers. Had no problems. I don't remember if we had to prepay a certain amount and then got the rest back, or if we just had to pay it all off before leaving the ship. I do know that if we had to prepay we got cash back, its just we checked in and out of 3 hotels plus cruise that trip all using the travelers checks I just don't remember each one too clearly. I do know we were never issued credit to a credit card, or given Disney Dollars back, but always cash. A few times it was quite a bit of money that we got back. I remember going to guest relations a few times the night before we left as we had all manner of problems that had to be worked out, but they didn't have to do with the payment. One had to do with Howard forgetting to take his ID out of his pants pocket and had packed it in the luggage that had already been taken. I think that was the problem that took the longest to solve (they had to bring our luggage back so he could dig through it).
