My sister and I want to go to WDW next year in May before all the big crowds and heat. She has pretty bad asthma and has always had it. She cannot go when it's too cold, too hot or too windy. She is under treatment for it now.

I am wondering if we need to rent an ECV or wheelchair for her? Walking too much gets her winded right now. What do I need to know about traveling with someone with asthma? She has an inhaler and takes medicine. By May she is hoping to be stronger. She is looking forward to going....it's all she talks about. I want it to be comfortable for her though.

I too have a disability; epilepsy. So it will be a slower paced trip. But we are both looking forward to it!

Thanks!

Something to also think about with going in May and her asthma is all the pollen at that time of year. A lot of things are in bloom then, so if that is a trigger for her, early March, late February might be better.

As far as the ECV, it sounds like it might be a good option for your sister.
