I am not sure if this is the right place to post it (my apologies if it isn't) but it seemed the best fit.
We are going to WDW in July, and it will be the first BIG trip with two little ones (our first Disney trip was when our girls were 6, 7 and 10. We're going this time to celebrate the adoption of our sons, who will be 1 and 2 when travelliing). I could really use some advice for those who are used to traveling with some so young/multiples this young.
1. When we fly, the 2 yo will have his own seat but the 1yo will be in a lap. Should we be bringing car seats for 1 or both of them? The 1yo is barely 1 and was also a preemie so he actually still uses the "carrier" type carseat- the would have to have it in his own seat, but since he's in a lap, he wouldn't be using it anyway...but that brings me to the next question.
2. I'm assuming car seats just aren't used on the busses?
3. We will most likely rent a double stroller for the boys. It will also help us with the sensory issues one of them has to be able to sit in their "cave" without being crowded and touched. BUT, what about our airport time? There is no way we can handle carry-ones and have two kids in arms (besides the 2 yo is a linebacker!). Would umbrella strollers be the best thing? Can you bring those on the plane these days, or are they considered your one allowed carry on? which travels us to the next question:
4. All the luggage rules have changed in the past two years. Now we are only allowed 1 carry on per ticket holder (you have to pay for each checked bag). So, are the strollers the one carry on? Would one of the ticket holders have to claim the diaper bag as their carry-on? What about my purse, is that separate from my carry on?
I have more but I've already babbled too much,
I'll add them later. THANKS!
