Hi

I need advice...we are going on a cruise next year and are going to be staying in wdw (at the boardwalk) the day before we leave on the cruise and then the night that the cruise comes back. i was thinking about planning something with the grand gatherings either the first night or the night we come back. looking into maybe the wishes cruise or illuminations. i have been keeping in touch with everyone with regards to the plans for their input but they havent been there before so not sure of the options. also here is another option- some of us want to also go to jellyrolls the first night. since we are on such limited time in wdw i'm not sure which avenue to go. :confused3
any suggestions would be really appreciated.

thanks

As a person who loves to travel with groups, DH and I have 'taken' several families to Disneyworld and Disneyland - my best advice: the more your group knows about Disney the more fun you all will have. What I did this year was purchase the 2004 Passporter (when they had like 5 for $6 or $2 or so a piece). They were old but they have plenty of information. I also allow my group to view my Birnbaum's Walt Disney World books - from previous years. I get one every year. Also, I put together a Newsletter with lots of valuable information along with packing lists, and trip reports from this board (I cut and paste them), a list of websites for more information; I personally ordered everyone a Disney DVD planner, and I include money saving tips with suggestions in the newsletter. It’s a lot of fun to me and when 'my group' actually gets to Disney they are 'educated' about Disney and we all feel like we get the full Disney experience. Also, emphasize that it’s not necessary for the group to spend every waking moment together (it’s a vacation and should be spent as pleased – that way no regrets).

thank you so much for the information. that sounds great. do you by any chance have an old newsletter that you can email me so i can get an idea of what you put in it? i like the ideas also of the money saving ideas that you put in it.

thanks again

I think I might - I will check my desktop to see if I saved it. Since I got this lap top - I just don't spend time on my desktop anymore.
