I'm sure somebody can help! When you are cruising with a minor and you are married but your spouse is not with you do you have to have any special forms? Thanks!!

Depends when you are traveling... if you are traveling before Dec. 31st 05, you're fine.just need parent signature if its not your child. after that you'd have to have a notarized letter of permission to have the child under your supervision. I have taken my son w/o dad w/no problems ...but Jan 1,06 If I don't have sole custody, I have to have his notarized permission and I believe he has to go with me to get his first passport. I also took my cousin who was 15 and her mom just had to sign one of the forms saying I was responsible for her.. hope that helps...

I'm divorced and just returned from a cruise with my 18 and 15 year olds. Disney sent a paper in their cruise booklet with permission to travel outside the county for a minor. I had their father sign it and had it notarized, it gave me permission to take the children out of the country. No one every asked for it, nor was I ever questioned about travelling alone with the kids. My travel agent suggested having the paper signed "just in case" but there were no problems.

How much you will be asked is also partly determined by the itinerary you are on. Nassau and the Caribbean are more lenient than Mexico. If you are doing the Western Caribbean, you will need to have a notarized form from the parent who is not traveling.
