Well my adult only May trip has been changed to a girls only trip with my daughter and I going insted of my DH and I. Does anyone have any suggestions on fun thing to do that you don't do if you are just touring the parks? I thought about going to both waterparks and swimming at our hotel pool(BCV). Does any one have any suggestions on which days to do the waterparks? Are they busier on certain days(ie weekends)?
Any suggestions on what else to do that a 7yrDD would like? Any restruant she might enjoy?
This will be her 4th trip to the world just went in Dec and we are going back as a family in Oct. We have AP's so park hopping is easy. I know epcot has the flower and garden festival going on does that have any fun things for kids?
Does anyone know what the park hours for May have been in the past years?
Any other suggestions for traveling in May and with a 7yr old is appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm sure most people will suggest Ft. Wilderness -- campfire/movie program, pony rides, carriage rides, etc. I think you already have access to the best resort pool at WDW so much time could be spent there. Water parks are great too.

Take advantage of the resort boats .... just go for a RT ride!

Minature golf - Shopping ....

Pack a picnic for one of the WDW beaches (Ft. Wilderness, Poly) ... lots of wonderful trails throughout the world to explore ... the one between Ft. W and WL would be nice.

I think AKL and WL might have some storytelling thing in the lobby ... not sure on times/nights.

Give your daughter a disposable camera when you go on your excursions ... kids love this and it provides a nice photo album to share with family and friends when they get back.

Probably just spending time with her Mom ... take a nice, easy approach to each day and I'm sure both of you will have a great time.

The Pirate's cruise is fun. You could find out about that over on the resorts board.

What about the afternoon tea at the GF. That would be a great girls only time. You could even dress up a little if you wanted.

Wow thanks for the great info. I forgot all about fort wilderness I think she would definately enjoy the campfire. Does anyone know how hard it is to get there without a car? I have a rental car booked right now but am thinking about canceling it because I won't have a map reader(who is usually me while my DH drives) and I hate to drive in traffic:eek: .
Does anyone know what days are best for waterparks?
Do you need to make PS for afternoon tea? I think she get a kick out of that.
I'm going to try to get cindy's for breakfast tomorrow am we've never been able to get it before so maybe this trip is it.
Thanks for the May hours they don't seem to be much different than our Dec trips.
Thanks again for the help and any other info or tips is always appreciated.

Not sure on the best way to get there ... just guessing that you would take a bus to the MK and then can ride the boat to Ft. Wilderness.

Once you arrive at the Ft. Wilderness marina, you would just walk up past Pioneer Hall (follow the crowd) and get on one of the internal buses which will drop you off at the Meadows recreation area where the campfire is held. The "chuck wagon" at the campfire sells beverages, popcorn, marshmellows/sticks, etc.

Pioneer Hall is also home to the Hoop-de-do Review and the Trails End Buffet. You might want to arrive early and have dinner at the Buffet. Otherwise, you could always go into Crockett's Tavern (part of the same building) and order a pizza or munchies. Our family loves to get a pizza and some beverages (for both the adults and kids) and wind down after a busy day. Great atmosphere!!!

Around the same area as Pioneer Hall you will find the petting zoo, gift shop, pony rides, etc.
