We'll be in WDW in November with our then 6 month old DD. I am wondering what type of clothes to bring for her? Obviously, she's wearing summer clothes right now but they will not fit her in Nov. Should I buy some summer clothes now in the next size up? The weather at home will be cold in Nov so I don't think those clothes will be appropriate. We've been to WDW in Nov and we wore shorts and brought a jacket with us in our backpack but I never really paid attention to what type of clothes would be appropriate for an infant. Any help is much appreciated :)

With a little one, I would definitely do layers...onesie with pants, long-sleeve shirt and jacket or else onesie with long-sleeve "outfit" over it. So, I don't think you need larger-sized summer clothes as long as you have onesies in the November size. (I don't count those as summer, since I layer with them all year long. ;) ) Then you can add or remove layers depending on the temperature and if it gets really warm, she can just wear the onesie.
Also make sure you bring a hat and blanket for if it gets really cold.

I think November is great weather for a visit with a little one! The best part about infant clothes is how little space they take up in the suitcase, so you don't feel guilty overpacking. :)

I have been wondering the same thing, although my kids are older than your little one. ;) I have been contemplating what to bring as we all want them to be dressed appropriately.

I'd say bring a mixture and layer your little one.

I just used the site posted above for reference and it gave an average of 75 (Which is beautiful here in MI).

My plan is just to take both and dress warmer when we head out for evening.
My dad and brother & Sil all live in Florida and they have given me the advice of 'It's warm during the day and cold at night' :upsidedow

When they were up here last month and it hit 75 they were all putting on their sweaters.

I guess we'll have to overpack and be prepared. :cutie:

Good luck and have a magical trip:wizard:

Thanks for the great suggestions :)

Princess Roo - I am a BIG fan of onsies! Great idea to layer and then just wear the onsie if it's warm. I will get some "nicer" onsies in bigger sizes. I'd use those at home but if I bought summer clothes in a size up they would be wasted if she doesn't wear them in WDW.

MommySiobhan - Congrats on your pregnancy :)

I think you just never know about the weather. We took DD at 7 months in December and I remember her wearing mostly long sleeves and pants. Some days she needed a hat, and at night she needed a light snowsuit.

This past trip we went at the end of November. I am glad I brought both warm and cold clothes because it was SO HOT. I had our youngest (12 months) in sun suits, I think it was in the high 80's and very humid. Then one day the weather just dropped to the low 60's and she was in sweats.

I say plan for both types of weather. The weather forcast never seemed to do us much good in planning.

We were there last November with our 8 month old. It definately is hot enough during the day to wear the summer clothes. I would definately get a few outfits. We even swam a few times...........buy the swim diapers now, before you can't find them!

We had one or two little warmup suits that we could easily slip on over the shirt he was already wearing......definately needed them at night. And a small blanket to cover the baby in the evening in the stroller!

since we are talking about weather i've been there a few times to know that weather is very unpredicatable in disney and you need to bring warm and cold weather clothing but in november it can get chilly and usually too cold to go swimming and at night you need a sweat shirt
