Hello All
I am a Dad traveling alone with my 2 boys who are 8 and 6 form the 28 Dec to 1 Jan. I booked the trip but now a certain logistics are worrying me.
The main one being that some rides need a child to be accompanied and some may only allow 2 at a time. My party being the 3 of us means that we would have to leave out these rides as I cannot leave one of the boys wiating on their own.

I was wondering if there are any other parents who will be traveling on their own or perhaps some families who could do with having an extra adult around where we could mutually help each other out. Perhaps you are taking an odd number of children and may be faced with the same problem.

I'm not looking for traveling companions but we could meet up for a few afternoons or mornings saving these types of rides for then. Or a day. Or whatever may work.

My first though was another lone parent however there may be 2 adults but where the ages of the kids mean that you would face the same problems as having to sit out some of the rides as one of the youngsters cant or won't go on a ride.

Also if anyone has any ideas or tips for a lone parent that would be great.

It's my first time to Disney so I am not sure what to expect.

Thanks

You will find a lot of rides accomodate 3 to a seat - you would probably all be able to fit in a seat to go on thunder mountain if you wanted.

You'll be fine with Pinnochio, Snow white, Small world, Pirates of Caribbean, train ride, tea cups, Caroussel, possibly Buzz although your eldest could sit in his own car for this, possibly Phantom manor, cars, flying carpets,
Our daughter 8 was allowed to sit on Dumbo and Orbitron on her own

I faced a lot of the same worries when I took my 4 and 6 year olds to Disney in April this year. I think the only ride we didn't get to go on was Orbitron. On all the other rides we went on we could sit three to a seat (a bit of a squeeze in Dumbo - oldest dd did ride on her own a number of times). We all sat together on BTM and on Buzz (CM did ask oldest dd if she wanted to go on her own but she didn't).

We didn't go on Pirates (they didn't like the dark on the way in so we all missed out) Crush - they didn't like the look of it and one of us would have had to have been separated from the others, Phantom Manor and Indiana Jones we never checked out at all so I cant comment on those.

I think you will find that it will be easier than you think. I loved it so much we are going back in just over 2 weeks!

i agree i dont think you would have a problem in most of the rides. and if there were ones that were two to a seat you could just sit behind the two of them.
