traveling may 17th-23rd

Good morning, i have a question regarding crowd levels, we are planning our first disney trip and will be traveling with our twin girls ages 4, we are arriving on the 17th of may and staying to the 23rd, will the crowds be high and also any thoughts on transportation, we have ADR, for cinderella at the grand floridian on the 18th, at 6pm and we plan to be at epcot that day, should i leave the park early and head over to the reservations, or should i bring there dress's with me and just ride the monarail over to the grand floridian, or would it just be easier to drive, i am trying to make the most out of my time since we do not have the park hopper and i am still trying to see the fireworks at epcot that night.
