Disney's winter room promotions came out October 25th last year. They generally sell fast! If you already have a reservation, you can call and ask for the promo rate.
I like Jan/Feb for trips. While it use to be a slow time, it's been busier the last few years. I always go down for an overnight trip the end of Jan.
The weather has always been nice on our trips. However, it can be nasty you just never know.

Getawaytoday.com constantly offers adults for kids price. I would check out their website.

Don't go the third week of the month. Some schools have President's week off and it can get busy. We are probably going the 5th through the 9th or so. I was told that the 4th, which is Super Bowl Sunday, could be busy.

Geemo, do you recall what the promo was for last winter? I really want to stay on site with the 4 yo so we can have him get the full experience and we can get MM every day, but need a good promo to convince the family to book there.

It's fine but don't go during president's day week! We were there the week after president's day this year and the crowds were awful 10/10 both days. It took us 30-40 minutes just to get through security from Harbour blvd each day. Ugh!

Expect a LOT of things to be down for refrub and a lot of walls to be up. Feb is when they traditionally do a lot of work in the park.

I have some friends that always do a family trip in Feb and always complain about all the refurbs and walls...but they don't ever wanna change their dates!

I think it was for Sunday through Thursday night discount. PPH was around $250 a night for a standard room.
It was really nice because when I check in I was on the 9th floor with a Theme Park View!!

well Presidents day is on Monday the 19th, we are going the 10th-15th YAY Valentines day!! So it looks like we will be OK. I guess we will have to leave the closings up to the refurb gods and just roll with it. Its the first time my husband and I are doing a mom and dad only trip.... so it will be exciting and bittersweet none the less.

Hmmmmm.. maybe crowds will be low on Presidents Day since everyone is now boycotting anything that has to do with the President? What do you think LOL just kidding..

Really this place is great you are all very willing to help and share your knowledge. Thanks again

Anytime in Disney is amazing. I am going with a friend Jan 28 for a week. She has never been to Disney :goodvibes It will be fun to show her why I love Disney so much. Also hoping not to much us closed down for refurb.

Happy planning!!!! And have an amazing trip

We went 2nd week feb 2017 and there was some downpouring but weather was better than in Pacific Northwest where we had a freak snowstorm! Crowds were better in AM as recommended. And yes, lots of closures but it was first time for our kids so they didn’t know any better.
