traveling from miami...

Me and my wife will be staying at the Vero Beach resort in August. We're thinking about flying into Miami and then renting a car and driving up to Vero Beach. Does anyone have any comments about the drive from Miami to Vero Beach? How long is the drive, best directions, ect. It looks like its only around 140 miles which shouldnt be too bad. Hopefully its only a 2 hour drive or a little over 2 hours. Any comments would be appreciated! Thanks

Im not sure about Vero Beach, but i've done the Miami to Daytona Beach drive and its VERY long. I-95 gets pretty backed up through those coastal areas.

It can be bad from Miami to West Palm Beach...once you are north of West Palm, traffic seems to lighten up a little.
