Traveling early or late...what do you prefer?

that way,we get there and have a full day. Coming home I like to fly around noon so I can get to the kennel and get my dogs. I love vacation, but I miss my dogs so much when I'm away. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week at the beach and I'm already missin' my dogs. I hate being without them!!

We usually took the 7am Delta Express flight out of Logan so that we would be in Orlando around 10am and at our resort by noon. This way we did not feel like we were wasting a day of our vacation.

Now that Delta has replaced Delta Express with Song and Song has done away with the 7am flight we are traveling at night. We are on the 7:15pm flight from Logan to Orlando. Granted we have to pay for another night at the resort but at least we can hit the ground running Saturday morning.

So as long as the first non-stop flight from Boston to Orlando is at 11:30am we will be taking the previous days evening or late afternoon flight so that we are not wasting a day. If the vacation budget can swing it I would reconmend that that is the way to go.

I'm so jelouse (sp?) of you who can fly out at 6 or 7am! The earliest flight leaving Denver, CO for my trip in December is 11:45am. (1:45pm Florida time) So our plane arrives at Orlando airport around 5:15. If it's on time, we should be at our Disney resort checking in around 6 or 6:15pm.

Our flight back home, I usually don't care when we leave. Since we have Annual Passes this trip, I'd like to take a late evening flight so we can enjoy the parks in the morning that last day.

Otherwise, like our last trip, our flight left around 11am, which is ok. Once vacation is over, I'm kind of ansy to get home.

I get the earliest flight to Orlando which is usually between 6:30 and 7:30 am so I can get to the parks in the afternoon the first day. But as much as I'd like to stay later on the last day, it's less expensive taking the first flight home as well so I do that.

I don't know what I would do with a later flight home anyway except worry about getting to the airport and through the long security lines I've seen when I get off the plane from my early flight in. Plus I agree that it might be depressing waiting around for your vacation to be over.
