Traveling after marathon weekend

We are looking into traveling to Disney World and arrive on the day the Marathon weekend ends (2/22). We will not be visiting the parks on the 22nd, but how are the crowds typically the week afterwards? Do you get spill over from the marathon weekend or is it quiet.

You might post your question in the WISH Events board (http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=109). I think marathon weekend (January) has about twice the participants as Princess Half-Marathon weekend (February).

Either weekend though should clear out by Tuesday.

I've definitely noticed the running crowd through the Tuesday after.

We noticed the same this past February. DHS was crowded on Monday and Tuesday after the PHM. Sunday night at DTD was crazy crowded... so avoid DTD on your arrival day.

That week, tour groups will be a much larger concern than the marathon crowds.
