travelers checks ???

Can I get travelers checks cashed at guest services? I dont like to carry cash with me.

Yes you can. There might be some sort of daily limit. We've cash TC's at Guest Services before going ashore. I think we got between $100 and $200 each time we cashed the TC's.

Not sure if this avaible in your area - but I did see on TV last night that American Express now has a TRavellers Cheque Card thing. You purchase any amount and it is on a credit card looking thing but it deducts from your paid amount you put on the card.

It was an American commercial, so maybe that would be an alternative to cash and the cheques.

We have used TCs in St. Maarteen, St. Thomas, Grand Cayman, & Cozumel with no problems at all. It is safer to use those than have cash on you in port IMO.

Thanks for all the responses. Now if I can get there to use them!!! We are suppose to leave saturday for disneyworld before the cruise. Dennis is strengthening and I am now worried!!!!!!
