Traveler cheques Question

I was wondering is there a fee at Disney world resorts for changing US traveller's cheques and what is the cost??

You should be able to cash traveler's checks at any Disney hotel front desk. I believe you can also do so in each of the theme parks at Guest Services at the front of the parks. There should not be any fee.

I love travelers cheques. There is no charge to cash them. I find it's easier to cash them at the resort, because then you don't have to take your passport or photo i.d. with you. I just cash what I think I will need for the day.

One trip I lost my American Express travelers cheques the first day we got there. It was stressful, till the next morning when they were replaced. It was just like the commercial. Now I won't go on vacation without them.

When ready to cash/make a purchase, you will fill in the "pay to the order" and sign the check on the lower line in the sight of the person cashing the check for you. The cashier will verify that signatures match. You can also use TCs for purchases in the park so you don't have to cash them first.

Agreed. However, I have been asked for ID when cashing TC's off property. Now, I just forgo the hassle and cash them at Guest Services at the resort. And by the way, last year at Pop the CM asked me for ID. I didn't have it with me but it was ok since I was a guest there and they had all the info on record anyway.

We use them at Disney retail stores and restaurants with no hassle. They really are universally accepted with little hassle. We get the double ones, so DH and I both sign on a separate line when we get them, and then either of us can cash them when we need them. We have even used them at counter service with no problems.

The whole point of TC's is the ability to use them like "safe" cash. You can fight the point. WDW asks for ID as an extra CYA point, but if you read the terms and conditions of your traveler's cheques you have no requirement to present identifcation to cash a TC that you sign in sight of cashier.
