Travel Times Question

Couple quick Q's about estimated travel times on certain days.

1 - Anaheim to SeaWorld on a Saturday AM.

2 - San Diego to LAX on a Tuesday afternoon (1-2pm departure)

2 - about 2.5 hours. Plan on 3 hours.

For your Anahiem to Sea World leg, leave early. I got stuck in that southern OC (San Juan Capistrano) to Oceanside mess a few times. Once we left Burbank at 9 a.m., visited the SJC mission, got on the road at 11:30 a.m. or so and found ourselves in gridlock.

For the Saturday AM, we're aiming to be at SeaWorld for the 10am opening. So leaving at about 7:45am. Should that work?

That should work. At that hour, you'll fly down I-5 and have a few minutes to spare for the 10 a.m. opening.

Slight change of plans actually. Now only going down on the Saturday AM, and not doing the return trip on the Tuesday.


So the new question is what time should I leave Anaheim on a Saturday to arrive at the San Diego Zoo for 9am opening?

The Zoo is just a little further than SW. Were the paths diverge it is about 5 minutes to SW and 10 minutes to the Zoo. So still about a 2 hour drive as suggested above. So really all you need to do is advance your plans an hour, leave at 6:45 to give you time to drive down, find parking and get to the gates.
