Travel Time?

We are staying at Windsor Hills near Disney. We are going to Universal on a Tuesday. We would like to get their before they open the gates. How long do you think we need to in advanced? Great and easy directions would be greatly appreciated.

You are about 25 mins from Universal and the easiest route is I-4 but remember...you would be travelling during rush hour and I-4 is NOT fun during rush hour. If the parks open at 9am, I would leave around 7:45am just to allow extra time...but it depends upon the traffic which no one can predict from day to day.

if you want to be at the turnstile when they open, be in line for the parking garage around 7:45.
you should be about the 4th or 5th car in line then.

they open the garage at 8 and you will be parked and at the gate by 8:15-20 then.

if you go to the IOA side first, good possibility that they will open around 8:30ish. there are a number of rides that will be open if they let you in before the 9 officially opening time.
