Travel time between Universal parks

Hi everyone! We're headed to US and IOA next month and I've been planning out some of our touring strategies.

We're staying on-site to reap the FOTL benefits and early entry to WWoHP, but I was wondering if someone could fill me in on approximately how long is takes to walk between the two parks? Also, is it relatively hassle-free to park jump? (Probably important to note that our travel party consists of 3 adults, no children).

For example, if we wanted to start our day at IOA for Harry Potter, but then hit US for a meal or favorite attractions later on that same day, how long of a commute time are we looking at? Is it feasible to start our second day in HS and then travel back to IOA for, say, dinner at Mythos?

I'm just curious - we have the park-to-park passes, and now I'm just curious about the logistics of actually jumping between the two.

It's a 5 minute, hassle-free walk. Very easy to park hop.

We pretty much treat the entire area, Citywalk included, as one big park.

Yes that's where the sharp aquos is located, its right by rockit now. FYI it's not open all year round.

is there some way to find out the day you are there before wasting your time walking over there & then having to find out its closed & have to walk the long way around?

I don't think that entrance is generally advertised...at least I've never seen it advertised. There may be a sign or something but I doubt it...you'll probably have to walk over and see for yourself.

No more info on the Nickelodian short-cut, but honestly, it's SO quick (5 mins) between parks, looking for a short-cut seems a bit unnecessary. That's the way we see it, anyway!
