Travel Republic??

Following on from the Universal Hotels thread...

I have seen the room I want (Queen deluxe at HRH for 5) for £503 on Travel Republic for 2 nights. I can book for £1.

If I cancel, will I really only lose £1?
Is this a reasonable price for August for this room?

And now I've just found the same with Hotels4U for £438....

Just had a look at the £1 deposit offer on travel Republic and its says on that the standard cancellation policy applies which is here: https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/faq/FAQAnswer.aspx?Id=47

Looks like it would cost you £40 to cancel.

Thanks Elise. I took the plunge and booked with Hotels4U. I also got £24 cashback, so I think (hope) I got a good deal
