Having a last minute panic that we don't have enough travel adapters for our stay in DCR next week.
Memory is hazy but I thought I recalled UK plug outlets, but equally that doesn't seem right for mainland European visitors :confused3

Can anyone put me out of my misery please :)

You just need one ore perhaps two adapters.
We always take a socket along where you can plug 6 ore 8 diffrent things in at one time.

That would only be helpful if all our equipment had Euro pins on them, but it does look useful for those who have this need for cameras, mobile phones etc :goodvibes

You can buy in all big supermarkets along the high way travel adapters.
Shops like Cora,Carre Four ,Auchan and so.

Yes in Scotland we have the UK standard 3 pin plugs/sockets. :)

hopefully here to the rescue! at the DLRP rooms, there are only European ie round two pin plugs. Many hotels in Europe and Asia offer at least one outlet in the room which takes North American two pin flat prongs, but not at DLRP. They begrudgingly loaned me an adapter when all my luggage was lost for two days, as my India plug was not going to work.

I had the impression that they do not have a large stock on hand, so best to bring your own. I normally carry at least two of each type so that I can use multiple outlets.

I normally buy mine at travel stores, or at electronics stores.

you'll need something like this

I like the twin one but don't know if I would trust it! Also, be careful to check carefully before purchasing - one of my India ones is actually an Africa one and wouldn't work in most sockets

also buy before you leave - stores in France will most often sell Europe TO something ie Europe to USA, etc as most buying will be French going on a trip

They sell them in ASDA Reid.

I remember there being 2 plug points in both the HI and TNB so would imagine that to be the case in other hotels.

Alternatively could you buy a two pont english extention lead 9with say 3 english points on it) and run it off the one travel adapter ?

Just a thought :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. Think we've go armed with a couple of extra travel adapters :)

I remember the adaptor we took on our first trip would only work in one plug and that was in the bathroom. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I am sure there was a long thread about plugs once ~ I'll see if I can find it.
