travel/maps help?

if i have a route mapped out, say in google maps, and i want to know where i'll be when i've traveled a specific distance, how can i get it to tell me that? if it can't be done on google maps but can be done on another site, please let me know which and how!

example: i mapped a trip from NY to WDW. i want to know where i will be when i've driven 500 miles. how can i find out where i'll be exactly using the map?

Look at the scale and measure, just like any other map.
