Has anyone been offered, taken advantage of, and redeemed a companion ticket offered by subscribing to Travel & Leisure magazine? I subscribed (and have since cancelled), received an initial voucher that I had to return to receive the actual certificate, and am now waiting for the certificate. :rolleyes1 The company distributing the tix is "Promotions in Travel" which I cannot find listed on the Better Business Bureau.

Has anyone else had experience with this promotion? Is it worth waiting for the certificate before I book my June trip to Florida?

I can't speak to this particular offer or company, but beware. These "free companion ticket" offers are often limited to high priced tickets and you can do better buying two cheap tickets.

IMHO, buy the magazine because you like it, don't base the decision on a freebe of questionable value.

I can't speak for the particular promo either, but I have been given so many of these certs. and never have been able to use them. The fares with these are usually much higher.

I am still skeptical too, but most of my family is flying from Atlantic City to Orlando in June for $250. The inforamtion that the companion ticket provider has sent says that a ticket from ACY to MCO would cost $350 with a free companion ticket, so it seems to me that I could save $150. I was just curious if anyone else had used this to their advantage.

I did that exact offer and have the certificate in my desk, would you like it?

I put in a few itineraries and they came back either not available or the prices was sky high. Very few if any non stops, I live 45 minutes from LGA/JFK/EWR so I am spoiled, do not do anything that is not non stop.

Considering Travel & Leisure is an American Express product the offer is worthless, thought it does make a very nice paper airplane:rotfl: :rotfl:
