Hi guys I have been trying to figure out which lenses I want to bring with me to Disney the ones that I have are
Zooms -- 10-17mm fisheye
16-45mm f4-5.6
28-75mm f2.8
70-300mm f4
primes 28mm f1.8 sigma
35mm f2
43mm f1.9
50mm f1.4
100mm macro f2.8
Tamron teleconverter 1.4x

what would you take from the list with you ? cant decide yet what i want to take and I dont want to take all of it either :rotfl:

I'd probably take 3 lenses. The 28-75 2.8 for general purpose the 50 1.4 for very low light and the 70-300 for parades/shows.

Enjoy the trip!

Everybody is different, and everybody sees things a little differently, but this is my take:
Zooms -- 10-17mm fisheye - YES
28-75mm f2.8 - YES. Good walkaround with fairly large aperture. I am assuming that the Tamron TC is compatible with it, throw it in the bag and you should have all the length that you will need at little aperture sacrifice.

primes 28mm f1.8 sigma - YES. Should be great for night parades.
50mm f1.4 - YES Nice lens, will gain you 2/3 of a stop for dark
rides.

Tamron teleconverter 1.4x (See above)

Enjoy!

I have a similar issue, I have a hard time saying no to my lenses. :)

10-17 fisheye... definitely!
16-45mm - I assume that this is the Pentax lens? If so, it's a constant F4, not F4-F5.6, and supposed to be very nice. The extra width would be very handy especially if you want to do any fireworks photos. Of course, you could use the fisheye at 17mm, but the 16-45mm will probably produce somewhat better shots if you're not trying to do fisheye.
28-75mm F2.8 - I would think so, this is a handy lens to have and the one I used most at Disneyland last trip. (I didn't have mine for my last WDW trip.)
70-300mm F4 - who makes this lens? If it's a constant F4, it's probably quite large. I would guess that this is actually a variable aperture, like an F4-F5.6 or F6.3. I would probably bring this but only take it to Animal Kingdom.
As for the primes...
Sigma 28mm F1.8 or Pentax 35mm F2.0 - I would do a few test shots and pick the lens that's giving you better results. From what I've read (no hands-on with either), I suspect the Pentax 35mm will easily beat the Sigma 28mm.
43mm F1.9 or 50mm F1.4... I've got no experience with the 43mm but it seems awfully close to the 50mm. Both lenses are known winners but I think I might lean towards the 50mm just for the extra half-stop, which may be handy in some extreme low-light circumstances.

So, I guess if it was me, I'd probably have the 10-17mm, 28-75mm, 35mm F2.0, 50mm F1.4, the 70-300mm for AK only, and maybe the 16-45mm.

My current "lens list" to take with me is...
Pentax 10-17mm fisheye (love the fish!)
Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 (everyday zoom)
Pentax 31mm F1.8 (going to use as much as possible)
Pentax 50mm F1.4 (for a little more zoom than the 31mm)
Pentax 50-200mm (basic telephoto zoom)
Lester A Dine 105mm F2.8 1:1 macro (probably for Epcot Flower & Garden fest only)
Vivitar Series One 70-210mm F2.8-F4 (manual focus, just for AK and maybe not even for that - gotta do some test shots and make sure it's worth the heavy weight and big space it takes up in the bag)

Leaving behind...
Zenitar 16mm fisheye (love it but can't justify two fisheyes)
Sigma 28mm F2.8 (old manual-focus, unnecessary with the Pentax 31mm and Tamron 28-75mm)
Vivitar 55mm F2.8 1:1 macro M42 (no need for two macro lenses)
Pentax 135mm F3.5 M42 (too much overlap)

Hmm. Actually, now that I think about it, maybe I should leave behind the Vivitar S1 70-210mm and take the Pentax 135mm F3.5. The latter is a great lens and is relatively small and light, with wonderful manual focus. This will give me a little extra quality and speed over the 50-200mm while not being the lead weight than the Vivitar S1 is.

I think once Tamron releases their 70-200mm F2.8 I might replace the Pentax 50-200mm and Vivitar 70-210mm with it... it'll no doubt be big and heavy but should have the quality to justify it. If not, then I'll go with the new updated Sigma 70-200 F2.8. :thumbsup2
