Travel insurance with injury

3 months ago I broke my leg quite badly, I broke it in 3 places, fractured it and damaged the ligaments. I had to have an operation to put in a metal pin, plate and screws to hold everything in place. It's not long until we go on our trip, so we really need to sort the travel insurance, but I've got no experience with insurance with pre existing conditions, so any advice would be appreciated.

Does anyone have any experience with travel insurance with injury? Will it be expensive? And which companies is recommended to use?

I can't say I've used them but they came recommended on another forum after I was having a moan about costs with pre-existing conditions.
