Travel Insurance Question

This may be an odd question. For an upcoming trip I want to buy travel insurance to cover our resort expense only since we’ll be renting DVC points. Can I do this or do I have to buy insurance for all my travel expenses as a whole? Thanks for any input.

Who are you renting from? Do they offer travel insurance? I think I remember reading elsewhere that others have tried to get travel insurance to cover DVC rentals and were unsuccessful.
