Can anyone suggest an insurance company with reasonable premiums for pre-existing conditions.
My home insurance covers worldwide travel but unfortunately my DS has been diagnosed with a condition that is notifiable to insurance companies and as a result isn't covered.

I don't mind insuring him separately if necessary.

TIA
:thanks:

When I had issues M&S and Virgin were both pretty decent. good luck!!

hi, both my DD and DH have pre excising conditions, on our previous trip we used nationwide. it cost just over £100 for 18 days cover for 4 adults. not sure if that was good or not.

we have an account with them which now includes free insurance but it only covers Europe, they said if we pay £40 a year we can upgrade it to cover the U.S.A, i said we wont need it after our holiday so can we cancel it and she said yes. she don't know if that covers the pre excising so i have to ring a different department which i haven't done yet. but fingers crossed as it sounds like a good deal.

I'm with Nationwide and paid the extra for their worldwide cover and have a pre existing condition. I had to contact the insurance provider and make them aware and as I only require one form of medication it was covered without any extra fee. I do think it varies between conditions.

Check the Martin Lewis Moneysavingexpert site, he has a list of sites who cover pre existing conditions.

Found several companies who would quote for my mother, she has quite a list :rolleyes1

My mum & dad used martins website too.

Depends on the condition. Check a few sites to make sure none cover as standard.
DW has high blood pressure, some sites charge extra, some you have to ring, some cover at no extra.

We have been with M&S, Insure & Go (although they would not pay for ashcloud claim) just now we are with AA, they also cover us for cruising with their annual policy.
