Has anyone ever bought insurance for their DVC trip? I am booking a Grand Villa and I am concerned if something happens about getting my points back. Does this insurance (recommended by DVC) insure your points or just money? Thanks.

You just get the $5 per point. You don't get your points back. Unless you are late in your use year, I don't think it's worth it.

I have always found a better deal and coverage buying direct.

How do you determine the trip cost when you use points? If you have to file a claim, they will ask for documentation of the trip cost and that's hard to prove when it's points.
