Travel from WDW to Universal

We are leaving for WDW on Sept. 17. We are flying in and using Disney travel. After that, we will be heading over to Universal. There, we are staying at Hard Rock and walking to the parks. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to travel from WDW to Universal?

Mears, taxi or go to the T&T center and catch a bus (non disney).

Any of the reputable car service co's (FL Tours as recommended by Disboards.com) will take you from Disney to Universal. THey have vans too if you have a larger party. We have used Tiffany Town Car) on several trips and they make it easy and quick. You can make reservations for specific dates and times convenient for you. They will quote you a specific price (based on where you are picked up) from Disney to your new hotel at Universal. I like this better than the taxi because you know exactly how much you are going to pay. Of course you can always ask your front desk to call you a taxi a few minutes before you are ready to leave.

There are lots of choices. It will cost you a bit, but hey, you're on vacation, right?

How long of a drive by car from WDW to Universal?

I did this last year. We went down International Drive, instead of the Highway, because we ate at Olive Garden. Alos, stopped and got groceries. I am telling all this because I'm having a hard time remembering how long it took us to get there with all those stops. International Drive close to Universal, was very congested. All in all, I think maybe 20-30 minutes.
