Travel from WDW to Universal

Hi:

We will be staying at the WDW Boardwalk Villas in October 2003 and would like to spend one day at Universal. We will not have a rental car. How is the best way to get to Universal and back to WDW? Should we rent a car for just one day? Does Mears offer a service we could use? Are taxi's available at Universal for the return trip to WDW?
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Mears does provide transportation, I think $12.00 per person. There are plenty of taxi's in the area.
But you can also take Tiffany Town Car, if there are more then two of you it's worth it. The last time I did this it was $54.00 RT for up to five people. You need to make a reservation.

FL Tours, one of this boards' sponsors, offers park to park transportation, also. I used them on my last trip and they were wonderful!

We used mears last year from ASmovies and thought they were great. Call Mears the day before you want to go and schedule a pickup time. They will meet you out front of the lobby.
Call them 2 hrs before you want to be picked up from Universal and they will be there.

It was $12 a person roundtrip. I don't think they raised it this year, but that was the price for March 2002
