Travel from Pittsburgh during G20

Did anyone else make plans to fly from Pittsburgh to Orlando during the G20?? Was I crazy?? At the time I booked our flight out on Friday night the 25th, had no idea this was going to happen! Got an e-mail from Airtran saying to arrive 3-5 hours before flight time. Now looking at some other info, we might have to get there even earlier. Oh well, just needed to vent! Hope to see everyone in the 26th in WDW!! Donna

I am at Disneyland right now and fly home on Friday! I get in about 10:00pm, I'm hoping the mess will be over.

I am flying out on Southwest on Friday night. So far I haven't heard anything from them. Can you post what AirTran sent you? I want to show it to my boss in case I need to leave work early.

AirTran Airways Encourages Arriving Early to the Pittsburgh Airport
AirTran travelers traveling to and from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) on September 23, 2009 through September 25, 2009 could experience some delays due to the road closures for the G20 Summit. Roadways leading into the airport will be closed for 2-3 hours at various times throughout the day. All passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive 3-5 hours before their scheduled departure time.

Traveler Options
Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport 3-5 hours prior to departure. Travelers may also check-in online from 24 hours to 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time. Travelers with baggage to check may check-in online and then proceed to the baggage check counter when they arrive at the airport.
